Important information regarding our services, guarantees, and your rights as a customer.

These terms and conditions govern the services provided by City Auto Locksmiths, located at 6 Sedgemere Rd, Abbey Wood, London SE2 9SW. By booking our services, you agree to the following:

1. Proof of Ownership

Before any work commences (entry, key cutting, or programming), we reserve the right to request proof of vehicle ownership (Logbook/V5C) and a valid form of photo identification. We will not provide services to any individual who cannot prove they have legal access to the vehicle.

2. Pricing & Payments

Quotations provided over the phone are based on the information provided by the customer. While we strive for accuracy, if the vehicle has been modified or has aftermarket locks unknown to us, the price may be adjusted. All payments are due immediately upon completion of the work via cash, bank transfer, or card.

3. Cancellation Policy

If you cancel a booking after a technician has already been dispatched and is en route to your location, a Call-Out Fee may be charged to cover fuel and time costs. Please notify us immediately if our services are no longer required.

4. Our 12-Month Guarantee

All new keys, remote fobs, and hardware supplied by us come with a 12-month warranty against electronic or mechanical failure. This does NOT cover:

  • Water damage or physical damage (dropping the key).
  • Normal wear and tear of the key blade.
  • Keys provided by the customer (eBay/Amazon keys).

5. Liability Regarding Pre-existing Faults

During vehicle entry or programming, we are not responsible for pre-existing faults such as weak vehicle batteries, faulty ECUs, or seized lock barrels. If a vehicle’s battery is too low to complete programming, it is the customer’s responsibility to provide a jump-start or charging source.

6. Non-Destructive Entry

We pride ourselves on non-destructive entry. However, if a vehicle’s mechanical lock is previously damaged or deadlocked in a way that prevents picking, we will discuss alternative methods with the customer before proceeding.

7. Privacy Policy

Your data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR. We only collect details necessary to complete the job and provide a receipt. We never sell your data to third parties.
