1. Do you need my original key to make a copy?

No. While having the original makes it faster, we can “decode” your car’s lock to create a brand-new key from scratch even if the original is lost or snapped.

2. How long will it take for you to arrive?

We aim to reach customers in Erith, Dartford, and South East London within 20-40 minutes. We’ll give you an accurate ETA the moment you call.

3. How long does the actual job take?

Opening a locked car takes about 5-10 minutes. Cutting and programming a new key usually takes between 40 and 60 minutes.

4. Are you really cheaper than a main dealer?

Yes. Dealers have massive overheads and often insist on replacing the entire lock set or ECU. We fix the specific problem on-site, usually saving you over 50%.

5. Is there a warranty on the new key?

Absolutely. All our keys and remote fobs come with a 12-month guarantee. If the electronics fail, we’ll replace it free of charge.

6. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Cash, Debit/Credit Cards (via our mobile card reader), and Bank Transfers. You only pay once the job is finished and the key works.

7. My keys were stolen, can you stop the old ones from working?

Yes. We can perform a “security reset” which erases all previous keys from your car’s memory. Only the new keys in your possession will start the engine.

8. Can you change the mechanical locks if my keys were stolen?

Yes. We can “re-pin” your existing lock cylinders to a new key combination, meaning the old physical key will no longer turn in the door or ignition.

9. Will my insurance cover the cost?

Many insurance policies include “Key Cover.” We provide a full VAT receipt that you can submit to your insurer for reimbursement.

10. Do you cover vans and commercial vehicles?

Yes. We specialize in van security, including Transits, Vivaros, and Sprinters. We can also install deadlocks and hook locks for extra protection.

11. Can you program “Keyless Go” or Push-to-Start fobs?

Yes. We carry the latest diagnostic software to program proximity fobs and smart keys for modern BMW, Audi, Mercedes, and more.

12. Can you extract a key that has snapped in the ignition?

Yes. We have specialist extraction tools to remove broken blades without damaging the ignition barrel wafers.

13. My ignition is seized and won’t turn, can you help?

Yes. We specialize in ignition barrel repairs (especially for Honda and Ford). We can often fix the lock without needing a whole new set.

14. Do you work in the rain or at night?

Yes. Our mobile workshop is fully covered and we operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, regardless of the weather.

15. I bought a key online, will you program it for me?

We can, but we cannot guarantee “customer supplied” keys as many are poor quality or have the wrong chip. We always recommend using our tested, high-quality stock.
